My 8 year old grandson has been on Ritalin since he was 3. He was diagnosed with ADHD/ODD (Oppositional
Defiance Disorder). When Eli was little, he was very violent. In preschool he threw tables across the room. His strong will caused social and family problems.
Counseling has gotten the temper under control. Eli is exceptionally bright. He reads and does math way above his grade level. However, the Ritalin was exacerbating his problems because children on Ritalin do not have an appetite.
As an energy healer, I could see the Ritalin was damaging his physical and energy body. Some of the damage would be irreversible.
Eli's Mom decided to take him off of Ritalin. The first week went O.K. However, the second week, the teacher started noticing odd behavior. Eli couldn't sit still. He was in constant motion. His accuracy fell dramatically and he was disruptive in class. The teacher becameconcerned and asked that he be put back on medication.
